DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 14\, we will gather to tour the Mohawk Institute in Brantford. This former Indian Residential School was operated by the Anglican Church until 1922\, when the Government of Canada took over responsibility. Today\, the facility is maintained by the Woodland Cultural Centre\, which offers opportunities for learning about the history and legacy of the Indian Residential School system. It is an opportunity for embodied learning\, as we will hear the stories of some of the children who were brought to the school and see the spaces where they spent their days and nights.
